Company

There are two things that J. SIGEL & SOHN GmbH has in common with many other Swabian firms: traditio-
nal roots and a long family tradition. The fortunes of the former paint and coatings wholesale company have remained in the hands of the Sigel family ever since Johann and Wilhelm Sigel gave the company its name in 1886. The name has remained unchanged, but the company has developed constantly. SIGEL first began to produce its own coatings in 1924, starting with oil paints for the painting and decorating trade. These were later followed by synthetic resin coatings and emulsion paints.
By the early 1970s it was clear that top-quality products and service can in future only be supplied by specialists. Since then, SIGEL has concentrated on industrial coatings: high-quality single and two-pack coating systems for just about everything that needs to be protected and coloured. Our speciality, however, is coatings for the metalworking industry. We have quite deliberately retained our manageable size with a staff of 25 men and women, for the most important thing for us is to provide every single customer with practical advice, support and individual solutions.
